Laser therapy has multiple beneficial effects on the body. It reduces inflammation by decreasing the release of inflammatory mediators, including prostaglandins and cytokines, which results in reduced pain and accelerated healing. It also stimulates the release of endorphins, which are the body's natural pain-relieving chemicals, and reduces nerve sensitivity and pain signals, providing further pain relief.
Furthermore, laser therapy promotes vasodilation, increasing blood flow to the affected area, which delivers oxygen, nutrients, and immune cells to the site, promoting healing and reducing swelling. Additionally, it enhances cellular energy production, which improves cellular processes such as ATP production, promoting tissue repair, regeneration, and healing. Overall, cold laser therapy is a safe, non-invasive, and effective treatment option for various conditions in both humans and animals, including reducing inflammation, promoting tissue repair, and providing pain relief.
Cold laser therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation, works by delivering specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the mitochondria, the powerhouse of cells. This absorption enhances the electron transport chain, leading to increased ATP production, which fuels cellular repair and reduces inflammation. The therapy also promotes vasodilation, improving blood flow and oxygen delivery to tissues, aiding in healing and pain relief.
Equine laser sessions are non-invasive, painless, and require no sedation, making them an excellent alternative to traditional therapies or surgery. We bring all the necessary equipment to your horse's location and set up in the most suitable area to treat your horse. Equine sessions typically take longer than dogs as they are a larger area to work on, although treating a single injury point can take as little as 10-15minutes, most typically, an equine session will be 30 to 60 minutes long. Each session is 100% tailored to your horses specific needs.
Laser therapy delivers targeted low-level light deep into your dog’s tissues, activating cellular repair, improving blood flow, and reducing inflammation. It’s especially effective for managing chronic pain and mobility issues in dogs—such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, back problems, ligament injuries, and muscle strains. Many dogs experience increased comfort, faster recovery from injury or surgery, and improved quality of life—without drugs or invasive treatment. This can be done in your home, your car or with me in Seer Green. Whatever makes your dog the most comfortable..
Laser therapy (also known as photobiomodulation) uses low-level light to gently stimulate the body's natural healing processes. There's no heat, no discomfort — just a proven way to reduce inflammation, ease pain and support tissue repair at the cellular level. By promoting cell regeneration, reducing inflammation, and increasing blood flow to the affected area this can help alleviate pain, reduce swelling, and speed up the healing process for a variety of conditions, including arthritis, joint pain, muscle strains, and more.
Clients use laser therapy to support recovery and long-term management of conditions including: Arthritis and joint stiffness, Tendon and ligament injuries, Muscle strain or trauma, Chronic pain and inflammation, Laminitis, navicular, or SI pain, Hip dysplasia, Post-surgical healing, Skin wounds, abscesses, or hematomas. It's particularly effective when combined with veterinary care or physiotherapy
Tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, meniscus tear? Too many wrinkles? Thinning hair? Pesky backache that just won't go? These are just a small selection of the things the laser can help you with.
I can not treat your horse or dog without prior vets permission. Most vets are more than willing to approve laser treatment, so a simple email/message from them confirming treatment should be easy to obtain. Laser treatment is usually covered by insurance too. Talk to your provider.
There's no pain. Most animals, including human relax. Sometimes it can feel warm but not unpleasant. Some dogs even doze off. It's calm, quiet, and entirely stress-free.
That depends on the condition and the response. Some cases see a noticeable improvement after one or two sessions; others benefit from a course over several weeks. We'll discuss a tailored plan at the first consultation as everybody's body responds differently.
Yes, absolutely. This therapy works alongside most treatments. We'll always liaise with where needed and never treat without your full consent. It is advisable to wait a few weeks after a steroid injection and I can not laser over a tattoo but can laser over metal.
I will go everything before a first treatment.
For dogs and humans, we offer home visits or treatment in our private clinic space. For horses, we come to your yard. I regularly work across Seer Green, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Maidenhead, Uxbridge and nearby villages. To see if I cover your area please contact me on
Two sessions of laser cured my frozen shoulder that had been troubling me for 6 weeks! I felt better immediately after the first session, and the second saw me back to normal. I'm delighted.
Archie, my dog has many skeletal problems including a slipped disc. The laser therapy has really improved his mobility and happiness - it's like having my dog back
My horse Mac was diagnosed with a flair up of an old PSD injury and SI pain. He was very lame and the future looked bleak. After his targeted laser treatments he is sound and back in full work plus it was all covered by my insurance.
Carpel tunnel on both of my wrists was still preventing me from working despite steroid injections..
The laser treatment quickly got me comfortable and able to work again and more importantly, healing!. Thank you so much
My hair has been thinning horribly, partly due to menopause, and then weight loss. I've had three sessions or red light therapy with Liza over the last few months and I've now got fuzzy new shoots.
